Largest and tallest Buddha statue in Cambodia

Cambodia's Spiritual Landmark: The Preah Puth Paidma 108-Meter Tall Buddha Sokha Hotel Co.,Ltd, under the leadership of Neak Okhna SOK KONG as Chairman, was granted a permission from the Royal Government of Cambodia through the Letter No. 730, dated 01 September 2022 of the Office of the Council of Ministers, and the Letter No. 1580, dated 08 September 2022 of the Ministry of Environment for construction of a 108-meter-tall Buddha statue on the ridge of Bokor Mountain, within the vicinity of the 500 rice field area of the Preah Monivong National Park "Bokor", following the characters and styles of Khmer architecture, and in accordance with the rule and tradition of the Buddhism; with the approvals of the inter-ministerial working group and the Cambodian Supreme Sangha Council of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

This Buddha statue construction project will become the largest and tallest Buddha statue in the Kingdom of Cambodia and among the other tall Buddha statues in the world, designed in the form of the Buddha Mara Vijaya or Buddha conquers mara (in the dereign of King Jayavaraman VII in the 13th century).

Generally, the vision of the Buddha statue construction project is to preserve the national identity, culture and religion based on the principles of preserving the old and creating the new ones in the Techo era of peace and development in all areas, and this Buddha statue will remain a cultural and religious heritage of the nation for generations to come, and as the shrine for all Buddhists forever in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
